Quarter 3 Company Updates 2024

In Quarter 3, we’ve been actively engaged in numerous events and have a number of accomplishments to share. Here are some of our key highlights from this quarter.

Company news

We were pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Zammit as our new Chief Executive Officer. Paul has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment in every position he has held within the business. As the former Regulated Mortgages Director, he has made a significant impact, and we are confident that his vision and expertise will propel the company forward in his new role as CEO.

Conferences and events

Throughout this quarter, we attended a variety of roadshows and events. In September, we participated in multiple HLP events across the UK, including:

• September 10th: Manchester
• September 11th: Leeds
• September 18th: Milton Keynes
• September 19th: Birmingham
• September 24th: Bristol
• September 25th: Gatwick
• September 26th: Southampton

These events provided an excellent opportunity for brokers to ask questions and discuss challenging cases. We thoroughly enjoyed engaging in discussions about all aspects of specialist lending.

On September 27th, we hosted our broker breakfast session in Essex from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The morning was filled with valuable insights and networking opportunities. Featured presentations included Paul Zammit, Steve Nobbs, and Eleanor Glen, along with an exclusive presentation by Dan Narwal, a highly esteemed member of Together Money. The event was a great success, and we look forward to organising similar events in the future!

Building partnerships

We were excited to welcome two new lenders to our panel: Interbridge Mortgages, a second charge mortgage lender, and Zephyr Homeloans, a specialist buy-to-let lender. Interbridge Mortgages is an innovative lender with a team that has decades of experience in the UK second charge industry. Zephyr is an established lender committed to providing quick turnarounds and great service. These partnerships may enable us to better assist our clients by giving us access to more diverse solutions.

Training sessions

At the beginning of September, Paul Zammit led a training session addressing 14 often-overlooked opportunities in the specialist lending market.

Additionally, we also hosted an "Ask the Underwriter" training session with Steve Nobbs and Sally Precious Ward from Together. This session was particularly valuable and sparked lots of engaging discussions among our brokers.

Awards

This quarter, we were proud to announce that we have been shortlisted for several prestigious awards.

We were nominated for the Service Excellence Award at the NACFB awards and were also shortlisted in the Secured Loans Broker category at the Mortgage Introducer Awards. Furthermore, we have received nominations in six categories at the National Mortgage Awards - Second Charge. These include:
